The Charitable Foundation of Citizens Building & Loan recently awarded $8,000 to Piedmont Women’s Center, a Pregnancy Medical Clinic providing free services and counseling to thousands of women each year in the Upstate.
According to Tami Howell, Director of Development & Community Relations for Piedmont Women’s Center, the donation will be utilized to help provide limited OB Ultrasounds, lab-quality pregnancy tests, training for nurses as well as maintenance of the Ultrasound Machines.
She comments: “As a Christian non-profit ministry, we are blessed to have the support of Citizen’s Building & Loan and look forward to serving our community by striving to help women and their families receive quality care during their pregnancy.”
Adds CBL Executive Vice President, Jennifer Jones, “Our goal at CBL is to not only provide valuable banking relationships, but also to promote the importance of caring for others. We are pleased to support an organization such as Piedmont Women’s Center that positively impacts the lives of so many in our area.”
Piedmont Women’s Center has provided reproductive healthcare services in the Upstate since 1997. It offers many free services to expectant mothers, including pregnancy tests, limited OB ultrasounds, pregnancy consultations and counseling. Over 3,000 women are served annually.
