CBL Charitable Foundation has donated $5,000 to Greer Relief & Resources Agency, Inc.
Greer Relief is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that exists to transform neighbors in need into neighbors who thrive by providing services to eliminate poverty and overcome barriers to success. Its service area includes Greenville and Spartanburg counties, focusing many services in Greer, Taylors, Duncan, Lyman and Wellford.
“This grant will go to help neighbors in need with emergency crisis assistance to stay in their homes,” said Greer Relief Executive Director Carolina Robertson. “We appreciate this support from CBL, which defines our motto, Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”
Greer-based CBL State Savings Bank will locate a loan office in Landrum to be opened on October 1, according to President and CEO Jennifer T. Jones.
The office will be located at 920 East Rutherford Street. Initially, only the bank’s loan products, including first and second residential mortgages, equity lines of credit, land loans, construction/permanent loans, commercial real estate loans and more, will be available. Other products will be offered later.
Loan Specialist Angel Forrester will be the office’s main customer contact. Other CBL officers and employees will staff the office on a rotating basis.

Joshua's Way is a multi-denominational, Christian, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization seeking to change lives through its teaching and compassionate ministries.
“Joshua’s Way is planning to be more involved in hosting community events and training such as the recent Kidney Donor Awareness Benefit,” said President Dan Johnson. “Werequested the Foundation grant to refurbish and replace old and damaged signage to more effectively identify our location and promote events.
